How do I measure my head for a wig?

  • With a tape measure, begin at the front of your hairline and wrap the tape behind your ear to the nape of your neck around to your other ear until the tape meets again at the front of your hairline Average Wig size 95% of the population will fit the average wig size. The comfortable elastic/cloth material stretches and fits head sizes from 21.5"-22.5".
  • Cap sizes may vary slightly by brand.
  • Most wigs have adjustable tabs at the neck to adjust the cap up to 1" for a comfortable and secure fit.

How long does a wig last?

  • Of course there is no specific answer for this question. It will vary depending on how you treat it. With proper care and maintenance you can receive many years of wear from one of our quality wigs or hair pieces.

How to choose a wig color?

  • If you are unsure on what color you need for your wig or extensions, we recommend using the color chart provided by the manufacturer. This will help you get the most accurate description of the color, being that computer monitors can vary from one to another.

How to wear a wig?

  • First time putting on a wig? We can help you put one on properly. You'll be a pro in no time. Follow these simple steps on applying your wig.
  1. Wigs should be worn on the natural hairline (for most people it is four finger-widths above the eyebrow).
  2. Remove wig from the plastic bag or box. Gently remove the protective hair net from your wig. Give your wig a few good shakes to separate the fibers and give somebody to the hair. Some wigs need to be shaken to release the preset styling.
  3. Brush your hair off your face at the top and sides. If your hair is too long, you may want use bobby pins to help keep it off your face, back at the sides, and up at the nape. Some women use a wig liner or wig cap to keep their existing hair in place.
  4. Hold your wig at the sides with the woven label in back. Place it at your natural hairline and slide it on from front to back. Adjust the wig as needed so the front edge is just over your natural hairline. Use the ear tabs to center your wig from left to right. Adjust the Velcro tabs in the back if necessary for a more secure fit.
  5. Tuck in any stray hairs at the front, sides and nape. Now you're ready for styling!

How to store a wig?

  • The best way to store a wig is on a wig stand or mannequin. Storing a wig on a wig stand prevents the wig from becoming tangled, misshapen or dirty between uses. The wig stand will also help maintain the factory produced style and shape of your wig. Wigs should be stored in a cool dry place free of dust, mildew and high temperatures.
